Identifying that You Have a Business Development Interest with a Contact

Business Development Information is a special marketing list that allows you to indicate that you want a particular contact marketed to by your organization. Although you can add contacts to this list just like any other marketing list, you can also add a contact to this list by indicating that you have a business development interest in the contact.

You can do this from two places:

  • When creating a new contact.
  • When editing your relationship with a contact.

You can only set business development interest on person contacts.

Note: Note that your organization can change the terms used for this feature. Also, your organization can choose to turn off the Business Development Interest functionality in InterAction.

Indicating a Business Development Interest on an Existing Contact

  1. Find the contact and navigate to the Person Overview page.

Alternatively, select the contact in a grid and choose Edit > My Relationship, then skip to step 3.

Note: Note that you can only change this setting for a single contact at a time. If you select multiple contacts and choose Edit > My Relationship, the I have a business development interest in this contact check box is not available.

  2. From the Person Overview page, choose Edit My Relationship.

  3. Select the I have a business development interest in this contact check box and choose Save.
