Pursuit Overview

The Pursuit Overview screen includes the following sections and information:

  • Title area - includes the target company name, pursuit type, and description

    NOTE The Title area includes the target company name. If the target company for a pursuit is no longer in scope [it becomes inactive or is deleted from the public folder], a message displays that the user needs to change the pursuit's target company to a valid target company. The user will have the ability to edit the target company. If there are linked opportunities or pursuits, a message will indicate this and that the linked items will be unlinked.

  • Priority panel - indicates the priority of the pursuit to the firm
  • Pursuit status panel - indicates the pursuit state [open/closed], status, open and closed dates, and close reason
  • People involved panel - shows the lead, coordinator, primary contact, and others involved. The panel also provides a convenient way to email any or all of the people involved in the opportunity.
  • Task Alert panel - provides a quick view of tasks associated with the pursuit and whether any are past due or due in the next 7 days.
  • Details panel - includes the type of work, practice group, industry, origination source, source association, and a text description.

    Several of these fields are defined lists created by your system administrator.

  • Tasks panel - displays any tasks associated with this pursuit. You can easily select to view [via tabs] those for the Next 7 Days, those Past Due, those Recently Completed, or All.
  • Stages panel - visually indicates the stage of the pursuit and how long it has been in that stage.

    Stages are defined by your system administrator.

  • Associated Initiative panel - displays any linked initiative tied to the pursuit.
  • Associated Opportunities panel - displays any linked opportunities associated with the pursuit.
  • Notes panel - displays any notes associated with this pursuit.

    IMPORTANT Notes are limited to 4000 characters.

  • Relationships panel - displays data on the relationships between the pursuit's target company and its personnel and your firm.
  • Activities panel - displays data on the tracked activities between the target company and your firm.
  • Custom Fields panel - Available when set up by local system administrator to display custom fields for a pursuit.

    Any user with the ability to edit an opportunity or pursuit is able to edit the values in the custom fields on the Opportunity Overview or Pursuit Overview.
