Introduction

Welcome to InterAction!

This guide describes how to configure the many components of InterAction to meet the needs of your organization. Although InterAction comes with numerous options already configured, most sites will need to do at least minimal configuration before rolling the product out to end users. InterAction is comprised of a web application, a client/server application, and related modules that share a common underlying relational database to store its data. This document provides an overview of the InterAction architecture as well as the requirements and recommendations for running each InterAction component.

How to Use this Guide

If you are unfamiliar with the basic InterAction concepts such as folders, contacts, Web Client/Windows Client, read the InterAction Fundamental Concepts guide for an overview. The purpose of this guide is to give you a conceptual overview of the InterAction components you will be running in your organization and a starting point for planning your hardware and software environment. The guide details the minimum hardware and software configurations to support the InterAction components, given a set number of users.
