InterAction Toolbar and Other Navigation Features
Advanced navigation features allow you to easily search, access, and/or edit contact information in InterAction. Listed below are some advanced navigational tips:
- The toolbar is part of the static main menu page of the Web Client. Within the toolbar, InterAction welcomes you by name, and you can access the Find Contact, Web Client Help, and My InterAction. On some types of pages, you can also choose the E-mail Link to send the URL of the current page in an email message (see Sending a Link to a Web Client Page in an Email Message).
- From any grid listing of contacts in the Web Client, you can select the check boxes to the left of the contact names to perform an action on multiple contacts at once.
- Right-clicking anywhere in the Web Client allows you to access features specific to the item that is selected.
- When viewing a list of contacts, you can expand or collapse the Preview pane at the bottom of the page. You may want to collapse this to see more items in the list. To expand the preview pane, choose the plus icon (

Sending a Link to a Web Client Page in an Email Message
Sometimes you may need to share information in InterAction with another InterAction user in your organization. You can do this by emailing a link to the page. When the other user clicks the link, the Web Client opens and navigates to the specific page.
Note: The recipient of your email message must be a valid InterAction user and must have sufficient access rights to see the page.
Using the E-mail Link option described here is the best way to send a link to a page. It automatically removes the information used to authenticate your account with InterAction from the link.
To email a link to a Web Client page:
-
Navigate to the page you want to email.
Note: Not all pages can be sent by email. When a page can be sent, a link with the text E-mail Link is available in the upper right corner of the page. Depending on how InterAction is configured, the E-mail Link option may not be available on any Web Client pages.
-
In the upper right corner of the page, choose E-mail Link.
-
If prompted to install the utility necessary to send email, follow the prompts to do so, then repeat these steps.
-
A new message containing the link opens in your email program. Edit the message as necessary and send it as you normally would.
Note that the email generated by InterAction may not include your normal email signature. You need to manually add your email signature to the message. See the documentation for your email program for details.
